Dua Renungan. Senin 07 -12 -15. SabdaNya. St Ambrose, 8th Day of Novena. Rise and walk.

SabdaNya.
Senin 07 -12 -15

Yes 35:1-10.
Luk 5 : 17-26

Shalom,
Ketika Kristus sdg mengajar, datanglah bbrp org mengusung seorg yg lumpuh. Mrk berusaha membawa si lumpuh kehadapan Kristus spy disembuhkan.
Ttp krn ada bnyk org disekitar Kristus, bnyk diantaraanya jg org2 sakiit, mrk tdk dpt membawanya.
Ttp tmn2nya itu tdk putus asa. Mrk membongkar atap rmh dimana Kristus mengajar n menurunkan pembaringan silumpuh tepat dihadapan Kristus.

Melihat perbuatan itu,Kristus kagum dg iman n kasih mrk.
Kl mrk hanya separuh2 saja percaya kepd Kristus, pd saat menghadapi kesulitan mrk akan mdh menyerah.
Kl mrk tdk punya kasih yg kuat kepd silumpuh, jauh lbh mdh, mrk sendiri yg  minta disembuhkan/dikabulkan permohonannya dp membawa si lumpuh yg bgt merepotkan.

Yg membbuat bnyk org hdp dlm penderitaan, bkn terutama krn keadaan phisiknya ttp krn relasinya dg Allah n sesama yg rusak oleh dosa.

Kristus dtg kedlm diri kita terutama untk mengembalikan kebahagiaan n kedamaian.

Krn itulah yg pertama Dia lakukan kepd si lumpuh, adlh menghancurkan penyebab utama penderitaan itu, yaitu dosa.

Ttp org2 Farisi marah skl mendengar kata2 pengampunan dosa itu, krn yg dpt mengampuni dosa hanya Allah.

Kristus kmdn dg hanya menggunakan kata2 sederhana saja, menyembuhkan si lumpuh.

Dg perbuatan itu,Dia menunjukkan bhw Dia adlh Allah yg berhak mengampuni dosa, krn penyembuhan yg dilakukanNya mengingatkan org akan nubuat Yesaya ttg kedatangan Allah : 'Lihatlah,Allahmu dtg menuntut keadilan. Dialah Allah yg memberikan pembalasan,Allah yg dtg menyelamatkan kamu. Org lumpuh akan melompat spt rusa n lidah org bisu akan bernyanyi n bersorak (Yes 35:4b, 6a)

Spt org2 Israel dibebaskan Allah dr perbudakan di Babel dg cara yg ajaib, dmkn jg kemurahan hati Allah yg ajaib selalu siap melepaskan kita dr perbudakan dosa, asal kita sungguh2 mau.

Si lumpuh mendpt kesembuhan jasmani n rohani krn iman n kasih teman2nya yg mau bersusah payah membawa dia kehadapan Kristus.

Yg  mrk lakukan: membawa si lumpuh kehadapan Kristus.

Dg kasihNya, Allah tlh memanggil n memberi jalan bg kita untk mendpt kebahagiaan n kedamaian hdp. Krn itu, sbg wujud nyata syukur kepdNya,marilah kita bergotong royong membawa teman2/saudara2 kita yg sdg sakit/ lumpuh baik jasmani maupun rohani, kehadapan Kristus.
Biarlah Dia yg melakukan yg terbaik untk mrk.

Gbu all n hv a blessed Monday.

St Ambrose,
8th Day of Novena
Mon 7th Dec
Lk 5:17-26.

Men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralysed, and they sought to bring him in and lay him before Jesus; but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith he said, "Man, your sins are forgiven you." ...

Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Rise and walk?
But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--
he said to the man who was paralysed--
"I say to you, rise, take up your bed and go home."
And immediately he rose before them, and took up that on which he lay, and went home."

Those were real friends! Because friends don't give up. We don't know if the paralytic had asked them to bring him to Jesus, but we know how determined they were to place their paralysed friend before the only Person Who could help him. They arrived, but found it impossible to approach Jesus because of the crowd.

A 'prudent' person would have suggested to wait until the Master had finished His preaching, or even to come at some other time or try 'tomorrow'...

But those friends decided to bring the paralytic to Jesus today, and were not ready to quit. So if the door couldn't be used, and in fact there were no windows... THE ROOF!

I don't think the paralytic was very enthusiastic about the idea: to allow yourself to be lowered through the roof by ropes sounds a bit frightening. But those friends weren't going to give up, and he trusted them.

Some nuns working in a Hospital for the poor and outcast once asked St Josemaría to help a man who was dying and didn't want to go to confession. –
'I'll die', the man said, 'but I won't confess. When I was 17 I swore I'd never go to confession, and I've kept my promise'.

After 15 minutes the man was crying, confessing his sins to the holy priest.

The nun who told the story wrote at the end of it: "I don't remember any single case in which he failed to hear the confession of a dying person".

How did he manage?

Someone who knew him well said: 'with affection, lots of prayer... and never, ever giving up on souls, because he loved them'.

May I be like the friends of the paralytic, Lord. With the intercession of my Mother Immaculate, may I never give up helping people go to Confession.
