"Hukum dibuat agar manusia Sejahtera." Tiga RenHar. Selasa Biasa2. 19Jan16. + Rm.Antara.KAJ. + SabdaNya. "Melihat hati." + "The sabbath was made for man."

Hukum dibuat

SabdaNya.
Selasa 19 - 01 - 16.

1 Sam 16:1-13.
Mark 2:23-28.

Shalom,
Allah meminta Samuel untuk kermh Isai di Bethlehem untk mengurapi salah satu putranya, untk menjadi raja Israel menggantikan Saul.

Ketika melihhat sosok ke 7 anak laki2 Isai, Samuel bbrp kali terkesan dg penampilan mrk shg sempat berpikir, inilah pilihan Tuhan.

Ttp Tuhan mengingatkan dia : 'bukan yg dilihat manusia yg dilihat Allah. Manusia melihat apa yg didpn mata, ttp Tuhan melihat hati' (1 Sam 16:7b).

Peringatan Tuhan kepd Samuel, msh sngt relevan dg kita saat ini, krn kiitapun srg kali terkesan dg penampilan seseorg n menilainya dr apa yg tampak.

Dmkn jg dg menilai peri laku seseorg, srg kali kita terpancing untk menilai dr apa yg terelihat, tanpa berpikir lbh dalam apa yg menjadi alasan dia untk melakukan sesuatu atau mengambil suatu keputusan.

Ketika para rasul memetik bulir gandum sambil berjalan pd hari Sabat, org2 Farisi langsung menganggap mrk melanggar hk Taurat ttg kekudusan hr sabat, shg pantas mendpt hukuman yg keras sesuai hukum yg berlaku.

Hukum ttg hari Sabat dibuat untk 'memaksa' org  menyediakan wkt khusus untk beribadat n mendengarkan Firman Tuhan.
Dg dmkn kita tdk hanya sibuk mencari mknan untk tubuh saja ttp jg memperhatikan kebutuhan makanan untk jiwa n roh.
Kita tdk terpancing hanya memperhatikan kebutuhan fisik saja shg malahan lalai memperhatikan yg lbh penting yaitu kebutuhan jiwa n roh yg sngt berpengaruh untk kebahagiaan n kedamaian hdp.

Hk ttg hari Sabat bkn untk kepentingan Tuhan, ttp sesungguhnya untuk kepentingan kita sendiri, krn kita tdk mgkn dpt berbahagia tanpa dekat dg Allah.

Sbg Putera Allah, Kristus pasti tahu makna hukum itu.
Para rasul setiap hari ada bersama Kristus.
Artinya mrk setiap hari menyerahkan wkt n tenaga untk memahami n melakukan Firman Tuhan shg setiap hari mrk tlh melakukan apa yg sbnrnya menjadi tujuan hr Sabat.

Bandingkan dg para imam yg  setiap hari Sabat hrs bekerja untk melayani peribadatan umat.
Mrk jelas bekerja dihari Sabat ttp mrk tdk dianggap melanggar hukum, krn yg mrk lakukan adlh untk memuliakan Tuhan, untk membangun relasi umat n dirinya dg Tuhan.

Kita jg tdk blh menghakimi org hanya dg melihat sekilas perbuatannya.

Spt Tuhan yg melihat hati, kitapun hrs lbh menghargai seseorg krn perbuatan2nya,krn sifat n sikapnya.
Dmkn jg dlm menilai perbuatan seseorg, sngt perlu untk tahu apa yg menjadi dasar perbuatannya.

Sesuatu yg terlihat salah/ buruk blm tentu dilakukan dg niat yg buruk, yg melawan ajaran kasih.
Dmkn jg sebaliknya.

Tdk mdh mengetahui hati dan sifat seseorg ttp setidaknya marilah mencoba untk selalu berpikir positip shg tdk cenderung untk menilai sgl sesuatu dr sudut negatip.

Gbu all n hv a blessed Tuesday.

2nd day of the Unity Octave.
Tue 19th Jan.
  Mk 2:23–28.

One sabbath he was going through the grainfields; and as they made their way his disciples began to pluck heads of grain.

And the Pharisees said to him,
"Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?"

And he said to them,
"Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him?"
... And he said to them,
"The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath; so the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath."

That was the way the Pharisees spoke: this can't be done, this is forbidden, this is prohibited, this is against the law... always ready to point out what was banned.

It's a very dark view of religion, isn't it?

Yet, when Jesus had to summarise the whole law, He didn't say:
'Thou shall not...';
He said instead:
' Thou shall love...'

The Pharisees weren't wrong regarding the Sabbath.
The problem was that they said what shouldn't be done but didn't help to do what should be done.

Instead of letting the disciples starve, they could have proposed other options or provided something else to eat.

The problem wasn't the norm but the stiffness of the Pharisees.
is can be our mistake sometimes when we try to bring our friends closer to God.
Consider the commandment of attending Mass on Sunday, for instance.

Some people  find it difficult to go to Mass for very different reasons.

Usually it's not very helpful to say:
-"If you don't go to Mass you will go to hell!"

It doesn't seem very persuasive, does it?

We can call that 'The Pharisees System'.

The Christian 'way' doesn't consist then in saying,
'You should go to Mass', but in saying:
'Why don't you come to Mass with me?'

Do you see the difference?
Saints didn't bring souls to God just by pointing out what was forbidden or wrong.

They went in search of souls, loved them and helped them to do the right thing.

And those souls followed them to Heaven. It's like the child who was asked by his mother why he always did his English homework and never  finished his Maths.

–'My English teacher helps us with instructions to do the homework;' said the boy, 'the Maths teacher only gives us problems'.
And the added with indignation: 'Besides, he never gives any solution!'

The Pharisees were like the Maths teacher.
We should be like the English one.
